The underground mine environment is complex, and loaders exert significant traction on the towing cables during operation, as well as wear and compression, placing high demands on tension-type loaders for towing cables. Tension-resistant loaders mainly face the challenges of underground mine traction through the following methods:
Conductor Structure Optimization 2: Conductors typically use multi-strand finely annealed oxygen-free copper wire finely twisted conductors, such as conductors that meet DIN VDE O295 Class 5 and IEC60228 Class 5 standards. This structure gives the cable good flexibility, allowing it to withstand frequent bending, while reducing resistance and minimizing losses during power transmission, ensuring that the conductor is not easily broken during long-term traction and bending conditions, guaranteeing stable power transmission.
Installation of tensile elements 1: The cable is equipped with specialized tensile components, such as load-bearing reinforcement cores, commonly Kevlar fiber, galvanized steel wire ropes, or TP ropes. These tensile elements can effectively withstand traction forces, disperse tension, prevent direct stress on the core wire, and prevent the core wire from breaking due to excessive force, thereby improving the cable's overall tensile performance and enabling it to withstand long-term, high-intensity pulling operations by loaders in underground mines.
Double-layer insulation design 2: The insulation layer generally uses a double-layer structure, with the inner layer made of cross-linked polyethylene, providing reliable electrical insulation performance to ensure the cable does not encounter leakage or other safety issues in complex environments; The outer layer is made of elastomer material, which cushions mechanical stress, reduces damage from external impact and friction, extends the insulation layer's service life, and ensures stable electrical performance of the cable.
Enhanced Sheath Protection 1: The sheath material is mostly made of high-performance elastomers such as polyurethane (PUR) or TPU, which have high wear resistance, tear resistance, oil resistance, and corrosion resistance, and can effectively withstand rock friction, slag wear, and oil corrosion in underground mines. At the same time, the sheath is usually relatively thick, and some cables adopt a corrugated reinforcement design in easily worn areas, or embed directionally arranged Kevlar fibers inside the sheath to further enhance cut resistance.
Anti-torsion Structure Design 1: The movement of loaders in underground mines is relatively complex, and cables are prone to twisting. Therefore, pull-type loader cables are usually designed with an anti-torsion structure. For example, a unique double-sheath structure design can be used, with Kevlar tensile fibers braided between the sheaths, or a special anti-torsion layer can be added. This effectively prevents the cable from twisting or deforming during traction, avoids internal structural damage caused by torsion, and ensures the normal use of the cable.
